About The Position

Peraton seeks a System Admin/Database Admin (DBA) to support the Department of War Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with defensive cyberspace operations and AI support. In this role, you will administer systems and databases supporting DCDC analytic platforms, ensuring availability, security, and performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD. Will consider Associates degree with 10 years of experience, or HS with 12 years of experience.
• Strong Linux/Windows administration
• Database administration experience
• Backup and recovery procedures
• Security hardening knowledge
• Scripting skills (SQL, Bash, PowerShell)
• Must obtain an IA certification such as CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or CCSP within 60 days of hire.
• U.S. Citizenship required
• DoD TS with ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearance

Nice To Haves

• Linux certifications and/or database certifications
• 8 years of specific experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• IA certification such as CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or CCSP

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux/Windows systems
• Manage databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Perform routine backups and recovery
• Maintain system security and patching
• Monitor logs for errors and intrusions
• Support system scalability requirements
