Role Summary The Vice President, Loan Syndications leads day-to-day execution of syndicated loan transactions from mandate through closing. The role partners with Origination Officers, Relationship Managers, credit, legal, and operations to deliver efficient, market-competitive outcomes for our clients across corporate, middle market, sponsor-backed, and specialty segments. This role is designed as a progression path to a Syndications Origination Officer; the Vice President is expected to develop origination capabilities and advance to that position based on demonstrated performance, readiness, and business needs. Key Responsibilities Deal Management and Execution Own the execution plan, timeline, and workstreams; run internal/external status calls and drive accountability across all parties. Maintain issue logs, task trackers, and virtual data rooms; proactively identify risks and drive timely resolution. Structuring and Underwriting Support Support loan facility design, pricing, covenants, collateral packages, and intercreditor frameworks aligned to credit profile and market appetite. Build/review financial models, sensitivities, and covenant capacity; assess leverage, coverage, and risk-adjusted returns/capital usage. Syndication and Distribution Partner with relationship teams to craft lender lists and investor messaging; guide the preparation of teasers, NDAs, lender presentations, and information memoranda. Coordinate diligence Q&A, manage the data room, collect and synthesize investor feedback, support allocation decisions. Documentation and Closing Drive negotiations of commitment papers, fee letters, credit agreements, collateral and intercreditor documents with counsel; align terms with approvals and market norms. Coordinate conditions precedent, KYC/AML onboarding, funding and settlement; ensure accurate system booking and clean handoff to portfolio teams. Post-Close and Agency Support Support amendments, waivers, and lender communications in partnership with relationship teams. Monitor post-close deliverables; protect client confidentiality and relationship momentum. Market Intelligence and Process Excellence Track pricing, documentation trends, investor preferences, and sector dynamics; maintain internal comps/pricing matrices and market updates. Contribute to templates, playbooks, and process improvements; support KPI tracking and audit-ready documentation standards. Team Leadership and Development Mentor analysts and associates; provide coaching, feedback, and training; back up other VPs and originators as capacity requires. Systems and Reporting Maintain accurate pipeline and deal data in CRM and deal platforms; ensure file completeness and reporting integrity.
