Create Music GroupVancouver, BC
CA$70,000 - CA$80,000

About The Position

Monstercat is seeking an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven Sync & Partnerships Manager to join their team. This is a revenue-generating business development role for an experienced sync licensing professional with an existing network of music supervisors, agencies, brands, production companies, publishers, or other buyers. The role involves inheriting an established portfolio of client relationships while actively developing new business opportunities across film, television, advertising, gaming, trailers, digital media, and emerging entertainment platforms. The ideal candidate thrives on ownership, identifies opportunities, pitches music, negotiates commercial terms, navigates rights clearances, and sees deals through to execution. They should be comfortable leading client calls, responding to creative briefs, negotiating licensing fees, and collaborating with legal and finance to close deals. Monstercat's extensive one-stop catalogue allows for quick clearance of master and publishing rights, enabling the team to move quickly and focus on building relationships, creating opportunities, and closing deals. Working closely with the Head of Sync & Partnerships, the manager will own opportunities from initial outreach and creative pitching through negotiation, contracting, licensing, and payment collection. Monstercat encourages applicants from all backgrounds and experiences, especially those from underrepresented communities within the music industry. This is a 12-month fixed-term parental leave coverage contract, with the possibility of conversion to a full-time role contingent on business needs.
