About The Position
Providing spiritual and religious support to residents/patients during the Sabbath and major Jewish holidays.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Sciences
- At least 3 years of experience in Jewish communal service
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of Jewish practices related to Synagogue, dietary laws, and Jewish holidays
- Ability to read Hebrew
- Ability to communicate effectively including public speaking
- Ability to meet multiple demands and to perform job requirements on time.
Responsibilities
- Assist in leading Synagogue services for Sabbath and major Jewish holidays.
- Conduct religious programming for Sabbath and major Jewish holidays for all residents/patients.
- Provide pastoral visits and counseling for residents/patients.
- Assist Director of Pastoral Services in providing the spiritual environment appropriate for Sabbath and Jewish holidays.
- Other related duties as assigned.
