Road & Rail Services is looking for a dependable Switchman/Conductor who's ready to work hard, stay safe, and build a long-term career. You don't have to be a rail veteran to start - we'll train you on the skills you need. What matters most is that you show up, take safety seriously, and bring a willingness to learn. As a Switchman/Conductor, your shift starts with a safety briefing and a look at the day's switching plan. You'll be out on the track, in all kinds of Florida weather, walking alongside railcars and signaling your crew to get them into position. Some days you'll be climbing up to inspect railcars, throwing switches, or helping align the train for loading and unloading. Other days you'll focus on communicating with the locomotive operator to keep everything moving safely and on schedule. You'll work a two-step swing shift, which means you'll rotate between day and night shifts - and yes, that includes some weekends. It's not a sit-down job. You'll be walking, bending, and climbing for much of the day. The work is physical, but it's also steady, and there's pride in keeping the operation running without a hitch.
