Halton Healthcare is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; are patient/customer focused; are team players; are effective communicators; are caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible. This role involves answering internal and external phone calls on a multi-line phone within a switchboard for all three hospital sites, responding to inquiries through the physicians' answering service, and maintaining imminent changes on the SPOK calendar for physicians and clinical staff. The operator will also respond to all emergency codes and follow procedures, page/text and/or call physicians as required, and transfer calls to appropriate departments/staff/patients. Additionally, the role includes activating new pagers/swapping existing pagers if damaged, documenting call transactions and codes, and performing other related duties.
