Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Answers internal and external calls using Cisco phone systems, including both desk phones and computer-based phone software.
  • Answers code phones and performs overhead announcements as needed.
  • Utilizes TigerText for designated code communications.
  • Maintains electronic call documentation, including shift logs, sepsis logs, and code logs.
  • Communicates with Security personnel via radio systems.
  • Monitors alarm panels for Engineering and panic alarms.
  • Makes overhead announcements for sepsis alerts and other approved pages, while minimizing disruptions during night shifts due to patient noise considerations.
  • Uses Amion software for on-call communications and documentation of call logs.
  • Uses phone software to locate contact information and transfer calls appropriately.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
