About The Position

HRI Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Switchboard Operator with weekend availability. The hospital is a 66-bed psychiatric facility offering adult inpatient services and partial hospitalization programs. Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • MS4 experience preferred
  • Experience: Experience operating switchboard, computer, and other business equipment
  • Skills: Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Skills: Strong ability to multi-task

Nice To Haves

  • MS4 experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate the hospital switchboard in a professional, courteous, and effective manner
  • Respond to and activate hospital emergency codes and pages in a responsible and timely manner
  • Welcome visitors to the hospital in a warm, professional and helpful manner
  • Protect confidentiality of hospitalized patients
  • Facilitate internal hospital communications in a professional and efficient manner
  • Consistently, accurately, and neatly perform related clerical duties and other tasks assigned by supervisor including typing and copying
  • Maintain both personal and work area in an appropriate professional and neat manner
  • Reflect professional reliability and dependability through compliance of hospital attendance policy
