Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related field (Preferred)
  • 4-7 years Technical experience in telecommunications or mobile switching systems. (Preferred)
  • 2-4 years Experience with GSM systems. (Preferred)
  • Leadership (Required)

  • Microsoft Office (Required)
  • Be an active leader, willing to share and explore new ideas to develop new and more efficient processes (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow (Preferred)
  • Exposure to Cisco, Dell, Nokia, and/or Ericsson platforms (Preferred)
  • Development Skills - Ability to build APIs for automation (Preferred)
  • Experience with AI and/or Chat GPT (Preferred)
  • In absence of Leader of People experience, willing to consider candidates who have dedicated some of their time in leadership training.
  • Acquired or in the process of acquiring certifications related to management or management processes such as a PMP is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise remote switch technicians to achieve compliance with network reliability metrics and operational standards
  • Mentor and develop direct reports through regular feedback and career development activities
  • Ensure alignment to all company policies and internal switch maintenance procedures
  • Manage operational expenses and company assets related to switch operations
  • Coordinate projects with internal teams and vendors to meet market goals and quality standards
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for switch issues and maintain accuracy of operational data
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
