About The Position

Join the PIPESTONE team as a Swine Research Barn Manager & Project Lead. This role involves overseeing innovative research projects in swine production, managing daily animal care operations, and ensuring high standards of animal welfare, data integrity, and biosecurity. You will lead research trials from concept to completion, contributing to critical questions for the pork industry.

Requirements

• Animal Science degree preferred (or related field)
• Experience with sow or wean-to-finish operations preferred
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license required

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute swine research trials
• Manage daily barn operations and animal care
• Collect, analyze, and oversee research data
• Coordinate protocols, sample collection, and trial activities
• Train team members on research procedures and best practices
• Work alongside industry leaders, veterinarians, and research sponsors
• Drive advancements in swine production through applied research
