About The Position
The Aqua Life Swim Academy is seeking a reliable, nurturing, and energetic swim instructor to join their team in Kingston. This role involves teaching swimming lessons, focusing on student development and confidence-building, primarily with pre-school and elementary-aged children. The academy has over 25 years of experience in developing aquatic skills and is looking for enthusiastic individuals to contribute to their growing instructor team.
Requirements
- Valid National Lifeguard
- Valid SFA and CPR-C
- Prior experience teaching swimming (minimum one year)
- Experience working with children
- Personal transportation
Nice To Haves
- Previous competitive swimmer preferred
Responsibilities
- Instruct swimming lessons following The Aqua Life methodology
- Evaluate students swimming ability to determine the correct swim level
- Maintain the safety, cleanliness, and order in and around the pool
- Create a secure, inviting and positive experience for all participants, big or small
- Quickly and efficiently respond to client questions, comments, and concerns
