Swim Team Coach - Shady Grove YMCA
About The Position
The Shady Grove Family YMCA is looking for an experienced, motivated, and reliable swim team coach to help mentor and encourage our swim team participants. Requirements
- Current Professional CPR, AED and First Aid certification
- YMCA/or American Red Cross Lifeguard/or Ellis certification
- Ability to perform all four strokes (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle)
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Ability to collaborate with other coaches and team leaders
Nice To Haves
- YMCA Swim Instructor or WSI certification
- Current O2 certification
- Competitive swimming experience
- Experience coaching and managing team practices several days a week
Responsibilities
- Providing workouts, instructions, motivation, and support to our swim team.
- Creating a safe and fun environment.
- Serving as the primary coach on deck during team practices.
- Leading practices 2-4 nights a week.
