About The Position
Swim lesson instructors help students build confidence in aquatic environments, develop lifelong water-safety skills, and foster a love of swimming. Instructors teach swimming skills and strokes, promote pool safety, use and enrich lesson plans, and assess student progress. Other responsibilities include supervising and maintaining safety, managing equipment, keeping records, and providing customer service.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and teach swimming strokes and skills, adapting lessons to each student's level.
- Educate students about pool rules, safety protocols, and listening skills.
- Learn lesson-planning basics and use experience to enrich the provided lesson structure.
- Evaluate students' swimming abilities, provide feedback, and adjust teaching methods to support improvement.
- Supervise and maintain safety.
- Manage equipment.
- Keep records.
- Provide customer service.
