About The Position

The Goochland Family YMCA is currently seeking a part-time Swim Lesson Coordinator to help supervise, implement, and coordinate our swim lesson programs. This role requires evening and weekend availability and involves providing leadership to aquatics staff, managing and training staff, and maintaining facility cleanliness. The coordinator should be results-driven, able to build relationships with staff and members, and be available to work up to 25 hours per week. Direct service is required, along with the flexibility to fill in as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years' experience in an aquatics department.
• Lifeguarding experience required.
• Ability to lead a group of lifeguards through in-service scenarios.
• Proficient with a computer and MS Office.
• Must hold current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.
• Must hold current YMCA/or American Red Cross Lifeguard/or Ellis certification.
• Must hold or obtain within 30 days of hire Oxygen Administration certification.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in wellness or related field is preferred.
• Lifeguard Instructor certification is highly desired.
