About The Position
The Margaret Maddox YMCA is Now Hiring for a Swim Instructor. Do you love the water and helping others learn to swim with confidence? We’re looking for enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team! You’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment where participants build lifelong swimming skills.
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 16
- Ability to swim at an intermediate level
- New Hire Orientation before your first shift.
- CPR Pro/AED/First Aid within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certifications preferred (we can help you get there!).
- A positive attitude, great communication skills, and a passion for teaching.
Responsibilities
- Lead swim classes from in the water, ensuring safety, fun, and progression for all participants.
- Teach proper swimming techniques using organized lesson plans.
- Encourage growth and provide regular feedback to swimmers and parents.
- Help keep equipment organized.
- Contribute to a positive Y experience for every member.
