This is a fun, high-energy position teaching children a life-saving skill: water safety and swimming. We are a survival-first swim school, meaning we prioritize water safety and life-saving skills before traditional stroke development. Our goal is simple and powerful: To ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to become a safe and happy swimmer. While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach. We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”

Requirements

Available consistently on Saturdays and/or Sundays (our busiest teaching days—this is not optional)
Able to commit to a regular weekly schedule for at least 6 months
Comfortable working in the water for up to 4 hours per shift
Energetic, patient, and confident working with young children, including those who may be fearful, distracted, or upset
Reliable and punctual —our families depend on you being there every scheduled shift
Enthusiastic and positive personality
Enjoy working with children
Strong sense of responsibility and safety awareness
Willingness to complete all required training and maintain certifications
