About The Position

Looking for a fun, flexible job where you can stay active, make a difference, and enjoy great perks? Join our team as a Swim Instructor and become a community hero! This role is perfect for students, retirees, and everyone in between. We are currently looking for help Monday-Friday 5-9pm and Saturday-Sunday 9am-2pm. We are also looking for a Swim League Instructor to teach pre-swim team kids.

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current certification YMCA Swim Lessons or ARC Water Safety Instructor, CPR, First Aid, AED and Oxygen certification or must successfully complete the YMCA’s Aquatics Academy training program resulting in certification.
• Passion for working with diverse youth and ability to provide a high-quality of instruction using age-appropriate practices.
• Meets physical qualifications required for certification in job.
• Supports the YMCA’s commitment to child abuse prevention by Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor, Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children, Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor, Completing all child abuse prevention training as required.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim skills to kids and adults, helping them gain confidence in the water.
• Deliver excellent customer service to our members and guests.
• Teaching pre-swim team kids as a Swim League Instructor.
