About The Position

We are looking for a year-round Swim Instructor to join our team. This role offers a flexible schedule with daytime, weeknight, and weekend hours available. We provide paid training, including lifeguard certification, and opportunities for advancement within the first 3-6 months. Our instructors work in a warm, 90-degree pool environment and are passionate about changing lives by teaching children water safety and swim techniques. Requirements

• Ability to work with children
• Strong communication and organizational skills - A Golden personality
• Ability to complete lifeguard, CPR & AED certification class as part of training and work scheduled shifts as a lifeguard
• Ability to perform job functions in a warm, humid setting and chlorinated pool (lifting, standing for extended periods of time, demonstrating curriculum skills and performing in-water rescues if necessary).
• Noise level is usually moderate

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
• Educate students on safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
• Evaluate students’ progress, and complete required paperwork in a timely manner
• Interact with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills
• Use problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter
• Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment.
• Place and remove lane lines and class materials before/after lessons
• Perform light cleaning duties such as window washing, deck mopping, trash removal etc. on occasion
• Attend occasional mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours
• Fulfill other duties or responsibilities as assigned by your employer
