Requirements

Possess values consistent with the mission of the YMCA
Must be currently certified in CPR and First Aid or will acquire certifications within 30 days of employment
A positive, friendly attitude and strong interpersonal skills

A level of professionalism and maturity that reflects the serious nature of aquatics safety and is in line with the YMCA’s core values & mission

Responsibilities

Instructs swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly. Must be comfortable in teaching all age groups (parent/child, preschool, youth, school age, adult and those with developmental disabilities).
Attend staff and committee meetings as needed or directed by your supervisor. Demonstrate support for the YMCA by participating in special events.
Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Complete incident and accident reports as necessary.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
