About The Position

Big Blue Swim School is opening a new location in Springfield, Delaware County, and is seeking energetic, coachable individuals to join their team as Swim Associates. This role primarily involves teaching swim lessons using the Big Blue curriculum, with opportunities to assist at the front desk. The position offers a chance to build skills, grow within the company, and contribute to a positive environment for both swimmers and staff.

Requirements

Passion for working with children and helping them succeed
High energy, positive attitude, and willingness to be coached
Availability for evenings and weekends (weekend availability strongly preferred)
Ability to work in the water up to 25 hours per week
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be active on your feet
Lifeguard/CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain - we train you)

Nice To Haves

No previous swim teaching experience needed - we provide all paid training, including Lifeguard and CPR certification!
If you enjoy the customer-facing side of things, there are opportunities to support the front desk as well.
If you're looking to grow into a supervisory or management role, tell us - we're looking for that person.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, fun, and effective swim instruction using Big Blue's proven curriculum
Evaluate and communicate swimmer progress to families after each lesson
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming pool environment
Attend ongoing training and development sessions
Represent Big Blue Swim School with professionalism and a great attitude
Optionally support the front desk - greeting families, checking in swimmers, and delivering excellent customer service
