About The Position
The Downtown YMCA is seeking part time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool! We are looking for swim instructors with open availability. Applicants should be enthusiastic and energetic, with strong interpersonal skills. We are looking for swim instructors who can work a variety of shifts with a variety of ages. Using a variety of tools and teaching techniques, swim instructors will work with small groups of students teaching swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values.
Requirements
- Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
- Open availability.
- Enthusiastic and energetic with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts with a variety of ages.
Nice To Haves
- Current YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, or Ellis and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or WSI certifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead swim lessons for program participants.
- Work with small groups of students teaching swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values.
