About The Position
The Shady Grove Family YMCA is seeking part time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool! Applicants should be enthusiastic and energetic, with strong interpersonal skills. We are looking for candidates who can work regular weekly hours with all ages. Using different tools and teaching techniques, swim instructors will work with small groups of students teaching swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values.
Requirements
- Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Current YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, or Ellis and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or WSI certifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead swim lessons for program participants.
- Work with small groups of students teaching swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values.
