About The Position

Sweet Breeze Docent – Seasonal Do you love telling stories, engaging visitors, and sharing the secrets of Fort Wayne's rivers? Are you enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable-ready to guide, entertain, and keep passengers safe on the Sweet Breeze? Your Role Welcome passengers, answer questions, and ensure safety and comfort Deliver engaging educational tours on river ecology, history, and city development Operate AV equipment, adapt presentations for diverse audiences Assist Captain, First Mate, and Deck Hand with tours and special events Maintain boat and dock cleanliness, handle ticketing, enforce rules You Bring High school diploma or GED Strong communication, enthusiasm, and professionalism Boating experience preferred, downtown Fort Wayne rivers a plus Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Certifications Indiana Driver's License (if City vehicle used) Boating Safety (preferred), First Aid & CPR Equal Opportunity Employer Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of applicable drug screening, physical examination, and background checks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong communication, enthusiasm, and professionalism
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Indiana Driver's License (if City vehicle used)

• Boating Safety (preferred), First Aid & CPR
