About The Position
Sweet Breeze Boat Operator (Seasonal) Do you love being on the water, guiding passengers safely, and helping crews run smoothly? Are you dependable, alert, and ready to make every boating experience memorable? What You'll Do Greet passengers, ensure comfort and safety, and communicate clearly Operate and navigate a variety of vessels: dragon boats, paddle boats, pontoons, and motorized boats Monitor weather, river conditions, and vessel equipment Assist with launching, docking, maintenance, and special events Conduct pre- and post-tour checklists, maintain logs, and enforce park rules Handle ticketing and cash/credit transactions as assigned Assist staff, volunteers, and crew during tours and programs Who You Are Safe, attentive, and proactive on the water Strong communicator and team player Flexible, reliable, and adaptable to variable schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays Organized, responsible, and capable of handling multiple vessels and tasks
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Safe, attentive, and proactive on the water
- Strong communicator and team player

- Organized, responsible, and capable of handling multiple vessels and tasks
- Indiana Boating Safety Certificate, First Aid & CPR, Valid Indiana Driver's License
Nice To Haves
- Boating experience preferred; familiarity with downtown Fort Wayne rivers a plus
Responsibilities
