About The Position

The Sweeper Driver is responsible for completing scheduled routes and miscellaneous work orders. This role primarily involves the maintenance of commercial properties' exterior lots and facilities, including changing trash liners, blowing debris from parking lot perimeters, clearing moss, pressure washing, spill control, and performing winter services. The individual must be punctual, dependable, and adhere to safety and company rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license along with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a DOT Medical Card.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to use a handheld smartphone data device that provides information such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Arrives to work consistently and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent, arrives at meetings and appointments on time, completes tasks on time or notifies a supervisor with an alternate plan.

Responsibilities

  • Operate power sweep (truck) in assigned parking areas as assigned by your route
  • Power blow (gas powered) sidewalk and curbs of assigned areas
  • Hand clear Hardscaped areas and Landscape beds
  • Change garbage-can liners & lids
  • Spill Control - Pressure wash, sweep, and reclamation
  • Winterize, De-icing, shoveling, spreading De-icer, Plowing services
  • Complete routes as scheduled and promptly
  • Report hazards found onsite
  • Complete all other requests made by the supervisor or management
