About The Position

A Swab Rig Operator will not only operate the rig but will supervise one
employee. A Swab Rig Operator will need to have working knowledge of a swab rig
as well as functional downhole knowledge of swabbing operations on oil and gas
wells. His knowledge is not limited to operations but include verbal and writing
communication skills as well basic computer knowledge and skills. While at the
shop facility he may be called on to aid the Shop Mechanics, Shop Assistants,
and/or Field Crews in their efforts to support internal and external customers.

Requirements

• High School graduate preferred.
• Cellular telephone required.
• Dependable transportation.
• Valid class C Texas Drivers License and acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily Field Reports and e-mail them to the main office.
• Carry out the instructions of the customer or the Field Supervisor acting in behalf of the customer.
• Insure that all TEC Well Service as well as customer safety and company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Be responsible for all equipment and personnel assigned under his supervision. This would include but not limited to the inspection, maintenance, service and availability needed and performed.
• Be responsible and insure that mistakes, misunderstandings or accidents don’t occur that would cause: Public, Private, Customer, Company Property damage and Personnel Injury.
• Promote his crew, rig and company to the customer for future business.
• Help with the cleaning and maintenance of rental tools.
• Help as needed with the cleaning, maintenance, and testing of all equipment (mud pumps, power subs, BOP’s, TIW valves, mud tanks, etc.).
• Assist the Lead Mechanic, Shop Mechanics or Shop Technicians in their support efforts.
