About The Position

We are seeking a high energy, detail oriented and organized Software Systems Engineer to support the design and maintenance of a complex, large-scale software and infrastructure, bridging the gap between low-level system software development and the high-level architecture. This position is on-site on Reston, VA.

Requirements

• Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
• US Citizen with TS/SCI clearance
• Years of professional experience in software and systems engineering in Agile development environments
• Robust hands-on expertise in MBSE tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of scalable, reliable software modules and integrated cloud infrastructure in Cameo/Magic Draw environment in both SysML and UML.
• Enable seamless data exchange, communication, and synchronization across platforms, cloud environments, and third-party services.
• Ensure software interacts efficiently with systems, databases, and external interfaces.
• Link system requirements directly to software components, functional allocations, and verification test constructs.
• Partner with stakeholders, senior engineers, product managers, and development teams to align technical roadmaps with organizational objectives.
• Draft and maintain governance processes, compliance frameworks, and interface definitions to guide ongoing development across all component systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex root-cause failures across multiple layers (code, firmware, network, and storage).
• Deploy applications via CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks.
