About The Position

Ricoh is seeking talented and inspired individuals to join their team as SW Engineer – Microservice Developer Interns for the summer of 2027. This role involves developing an integration framework for an ecosystem of microservices that provide high-value production print services. The project includes integrating existing hosted and on-premise services, developing new API-based serverless cloud-native microservices on AWS (Lambda, SNS), and deploying them on a SaaS platform. The work will be conducted in a Scrum (Agile) and automated environment, with a focus on optimizing security, performance, reliability, and cost. Interns will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will see the project through from inception to production, with the potential for it to run with real customers by the end of the summer. The role also involves exploring best practices for early security vulnerability identification and may offer opportunities for patents. Interns will apply their education to meaningful projects, work alongside a technical mentor, be exposed to various levels of management, and present their work to the executive team at the end of the internship. The program includes opportunities to acquire technical and professional skills, participate in team-building activities, and enjoy social events in the Rocky Mountain region.

Requirements

Working towards - B.S., M.S., or PhD. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Student must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or enrolled to continue their education in an accredited graduate program.
Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Students are to successfully complete all required screenings prior to hire.
Java, Python, JavaScript (NodeJS), C++ or other similar programming language.
Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

Responsibilities
