About The Position

The SVP of Marketing & Ecommerce is the engine behind Caraway Home’s brand and growth, the leader who connects bold strategic vision with commercial performance across every channel and customer touchpoint. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the executive leadership team, this highly cross-functional role oversees the full marketing ecosystem: Performance Marketing & Creative, Brand Marketing, Ecommerce & Marketplace Growth, Data & Analytics, Digital Product and GTM (Go-To-Market), setting the strategic direction and performance bar for each while enabling a team of functional leaders to move fast and execute with excellence. You will lead five senior functional leaders, each running their own high-performing team, with a total marketing organization of 35+ team members. You’ll partner closely with Creative, Operations, Finance, Retail Sales, Product and People to turn company priorities into marketing that’s impossible to ignore. Campaigns that convert, digital experiences that delight, and a brand that earns lasting loyalty. This role oversees the P&L for Caraway’s DTC & Marketplace business, with accountability for revenue growth, profitability, contribution margin, and EBITDA performance across channels and product categories. You will set the vision across marketing and growth, build high-performing teams, allocate resources against the highest-leverage opportunities, and make investment decisions that support both near-term growth and long-term business health. Like all leaders at Caraway, this role requires you to operate at both 30,000 feet and ground level, driving strategy while also jumping into execution when necessary. This is an opportunity to take a high-growth, nine-figure brand to the next level, cementing Caraway as a household generational brand.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant marketing & ecommerce experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role; DTC/e-commerce experience required, CPG experience a strong plus.
  • Experience managing eight or nine figure dollar marketing budgets and ownership of revenue, contribution margin, EBITDA & efficiency related KPIs.
  • Experience building and scaling an omnichannel business, across DTC, Marketplace, and Retail, including supporting or leading the opening of physical retail locations.
  • Proven track record of building brands that resonate and growth engines that perform. You’ve done it before at scale and know what great looks like.
  • Deeply fluent in the modern DTC marketing stack, from paid social and email to site optimization and analytics, with the technical literacy to lead teams, challenge assumptions, and make smart investment calls.
  • Demonstrated ability to architect GTM processes across cross-functional teams, building launch strategies that drive strong out-of-gate performance and sustain strategies that compound growth, retention, and category penetration over time.
  • Proven people leader who builds and develops high-performing, multi-functional marketing teams.
  • Strong upper funnel instincts and clear point of view on market positioning, what stories matter to customers and why, and how to build the brand equity that lower funnel captures.
  • A highly collaborative and proactive communicator who keeps leadership informed, navigates competing priorities, and drives decisions with clarity and conviction.
  • Entrepreneurial, comfortable with ambiguity, and deeply grounded in Caraway's values and passion for home, design, and a non-toxic lifestyle.
