About The Position

The SVP, Field CISO, Global Financial Services will sit on the Security Solutions Leadership Team and lead a global Financial Services CISO organization of senior cybersecurity advisors. This executive serves as a frontline interface to top-tier clients, CISOs, CIOs, CROs, boards, and other senior stakeholders, translating Mastercard’s cybersecurity expertise into measurable business impact, strategic customer partnerships, revenue enablement, and market differentiation.

Requirements

  • Extensive cybersecurity experience, including prior CISO or equivalent executive leadership experience.
  • Executive-level expertise across multiple cybersecurity domains, including risk, fraud, identity, cloud, AI, and threat intelligence.
  • A proven track record of building, scaling, and leading high-performing global teams in large, complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong commercial and revenue acumen, with the ability to connect cybersecurity capabilities to growth, retention, client trust, and business resilience.
  • Demonstrated success influencing product strategy, go-to-market execution, and customer growth through external insight and executive engagement.
  • Strong strategic thinking and market insight, including the ability to translate external trends, customer needs, and emerging threats into business and product strategies.
  • Experience serving as a recognized internal and/or external thought leader in cybersecurity, digital trust, cyber resilience, fraud, or related domains
  • Familiarity with global regulatory and compliance environments and the ability to navigate multiple geographies and stakeholder groups effectively.
  • Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices
  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed
  • Report any suspected information security violation or breach
  • Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • An advanced degree or relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale Mastercard’s global financial CISO organization, establishing the operating model, engagement standards, and performance metrics aligned to business goals and customer impact.
  • Serve as a strategic bridge across customers, product, sales, and Security Solutions teams, translating market insights and client needs into product roadmap influence, go-to-market strategy, and customer value propositions
  • Drive Mastercard’s cybersecurity market positioning by acting as a visible executive spokesperson and credible thought leader across global CISO communities, industry bodies, advisory forums, and executive events.
