The Role: SVP, Enterprise Architecture & Technology PURE Insurance is seeking a SVP, Enterprise Architecture & Technology to serve as the company’s primary technical expert, responsible for designing and guiding the development of complex enterprise solutions. This is an executive leadership position that defines the long-term technical vision, establishes standards across the software development lifecycle, and ensures that technology decisions are efficient, effective and scalable across groups. This position will collaborate heavily with Enterprise Data, Infrastructure, Security and Shared Services to set technology strategy and prioritize major projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Significant experience as an enterprise, solution, or chief architect in complex environments.
• Deep technical expertise across cloud platforms, data systems, application architecture, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, AI, DevOps, and security-first design.
• Proven success designing and scaling mission-critical solutions and guiding teams through technology transformation initiatives.
• A collaborative, hands-on leader who thrives in fast-moving environments and earns trust by delivering sound, practical solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior executives in a clear and compelling way.
• Familiarity with P&C insurance or financial services is highly desirable, but experience driving architectural excellence in other industries is equally valuable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead architect for large-scale, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring technical soundness, scalability, and performance across platforms.
• Define best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles to be followed across engineering and technology teams – with a focus on application development.
• Define and evolve PURE’s architecture, ensuring technology solutions align with business strategy and operational needs.
• Partner with executives, business leaders, and technical stakeholders to frame challenges, evaluate trade-offs, and recommend optimal technical solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to developers, solution architects and team leads, elevating technical craftsmanship across the organization.
• Guide technology investment decisions by evaluating platforms, frameworks, and vendor solutions against long-term strategic needs.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends, ensuring PURE adopts innovative yet pragmatic and secure technologies that deliver business value.
