Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business development experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial banking.
  • Detailed knowledge of financial statement and cash flow analysis.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Highly effective oral and written skills.
  • Highly effective negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Active in professional, charitable or community organizations in the community.
  • Travel required.
  • Team player.

Responsibilities

  • Increases commercial portfolio profitability by developing new business relationships and retaining existing client base, focusing on activities that improve profitability of accounts, clients, and relationships within the portfolio.
  • Conducts on-on-one meetings, actively participates in professional, charitable, and community organizations, and attends events to generate new clients and secure existing business relationships.
  • Provides the highest levels of service to clients and prospects, developing and implementing a service plan based on client/prospect status (A, B, or C). Introduces senior bank management to all relationships.
  • Actively uses and updates the CRM system with detailed contact information, calling activity, and referrals on a weekly basis.
  • Manages assigned commercial loan and deposit portfolio to ensure high quality is maintained.
  • Completes and executes criticized asset plans.
  • Adheres to Peoples Bank policies and procedures.
  • Renews all lines of credit prior to expiration date.
  • Eliminates non-banker initiated downgrades.
  • Achieves highest levels of ongoing portfolio management.
  • Ensures loan documentation exceptions are cleared within 90 days.
  • Recognizes needs-based sales and sales referral opportunities, learning features and benefits of partner products and services.
  • Proactively seeks to deepen client relationships by identifying cross-sell opportunities.
  • Refers colleagues to clients to demonstrate Peoples Bancorp’s additional capabilities and offerings in commercial banking, premium financing, leasing, insurance, and retirement solutions.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.
