Position Summary: The role of Senior Vice President, Capital Markets is primarily responsible for the origination, procurement, execution and management of all debt capital needs of Realberry and it’s $2.5B+ debt portfolio. The role reports to, supports and partners with the EVP, Capital Markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required.
  • Proven expertise in credit matters, financial statement review, loan covenants and legal matters are required.
  • 10+ years of directly relevant experience in a comparable position with a comparable organization in size and scope.
  • Actively utilizes and stays current on emerging AI technologies to enhance work processes, solve business challenges, improve outcomes, and drive innovation within the organization.
  • Strong leadership and management skills to empower and motivate others as well as building strong internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrated track record of closing, building and growing debt relationships with a diverse group of lenders including; Banks, Life Insurance Companies, Agency Lenders (Fannie, Freddie), CMBS, Debt Funds and Private Lenders comprising diversified assets including but not limited to Hotel, Retail, Multifamily, Industrial, Condominium, Office real estate assets, Corporate and Fund facilities as well as Public Private Special District financings.
  • Demonstrated proven experience with Senior, Mezzanine, Preferred, Construction, Bridge, Long Term, Agency, CMBS, recourse, non-recourse, secured and unsecured credit facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Originate, cultivate, expand, and maintain organizational capital market relationships to ensure unfettered access to debt capital at all times to always meet the Company’s development, acquisition, and corporate activities requirements.
  • Primary active participant in the direct sourcing, negotiation, and closing on debt capital within requisite timelines which at times will be through the utilization of third-party Mortgage Broker teams.
  • Collaboration with Development and Acquisition teams for project capitalization focusing on underwriting , execution and post-closing matters.
  • In partnership with the EVP, Capital Markets will manage the organizations’ debt within Capital Markets Risk Management policies for contingent liabilities, interest hedging, debt maturities, leverage.
  • Work in collaboration with various Asset Management teams, Internal and External Legal, Accounting and Investor Relationship teams in managing debt matters to insure timely, efficient and optimum post-closing performance and compliance with all debt instruments.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to help leverage technology, AI and process innovation to streamline debt capital markets operations.
  • Work with the VP of Treasury on treasury management initiatives as needed.
  • Mentor Capital Markets Team members.
