About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is transforming the future of flight by designing, building, and servicing engines. The Military Engines Sustainment Quality team is seeking an energetic and motivated Supplier Quality Manager to lead their internal team and supply base. This role involves developing and executing system, process, and product audits, driving continual improvement initiatives, managing quality data, leading investigations, identifying risks and developing mitigation plans, and supporting suppliers in driving Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) within the supply base. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • 2+ years of quality engineering experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with the aftermarket and OEM military maintenance processes.
  • Analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • RTX CORE Champion certification or willingness to achieve certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a staff of quality assurance engineers and analysts performing oversight and audits of product and process activities.
  • Support and drive closure of supplier investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions while preventing future recurrence.
  • Ensure the team develops a high level of customer and supplier focus, business judgment and teamwork.
  • Communicate with various levels of management to identify Military Engines quality risks and mitigation plans.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
