About The Position

This position is for a Summer 2026 Sustainable Agriculture Apprentice at Chatham University's Eden Hall campus. Employees will engage in a variety of agricultural enterprises, including organic vegetable production, orchard management, mushroom production, and other seasonal farm tasks. The role involves collaborative work with crews, adapting to the farm's seasonal needs, and contributing to tasks such as pest identification, soil amendment determination, greenhouse planting, and harvest planning with Parkhurst. During the winter, responsibilities also include tapping maple trees and managing organic orchards. This is a student employee position with specific hour limitations, emphasizing hands-on work and a commitment to diversity and inclusion within the campus environment.
