About The Position

Incumbents apply in-depth knowledge in a specific area of sustainability. Work is guided by general procedures and professional standards. Works on assignments of basic to medium scope and complexity, where analysis requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgment. Works under minimum Supervision but seeks approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope. Unusual problems are solved jointly with manager. Work may be reviewed for application of sound judgment. May lead a work group or project team consisting of technical and support staff. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with customers and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of ISO and environmental management as it relates to greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Excellent skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse set of partners, stakeholders, technologists, across the globe.
  • Ability to work in situations with modest ambiguity, bring passion to create solutions to problems or issues that arise.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Minimum of four to six years of applicable experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to the Sustainability Manager on key initiatives.
  • Works with multiple areas within Celestica's organization to develop and monitor appropriate goals within Celestica and its global facilities.
  • Analyzes the sustainability practices of our organization and provides input to the development and obtaining targets for our long-term goals.
  • Assists in the development of Science Based Targets.
  • Works with internal sustainability representatives and external agencies.
  • Manages and administers Celestica's Carbon Accounting Management system (Envizi).
  • Performs Emissions Data Verification (ISO14064).
  • Maintains Emission Factors.
  • Works with NGOs/Academia/Industry consortia on various initiatives (e.g., Circular Economy Lab).
  • Participates in projects related to Energy and Emissions.
  • Performs Emissions reduction reporting.
  • Collects/maintains data from sites.
  • Hosts bi-monthly calls with Celestica's Global Energy Working Group.
  • Works with Communications to publish CELNEWS related to sustainability.
  • Manages projects related to Celestica's annual sustainability report.
  • Day to day management of the Sustainable Workspace Program.
