About The Position

Farmers Business Network, Inc. (FBN®) is a digital marketplace and farmer-to-farmer network focused on empowering family farmers and promoting sustainable agriculture. FBN's Gradable® joint-venture is hiring Sustainability Program Leads to support farmers in integrating regenerative practices into their farm businesses. These programs focus on practices like conservation tillage, cover cropping, and precision nitrogen application, aiming for environmental outcomes such as increased nitrogen efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, soil carbon sequestration, reduced soil runoff, and enhanced water quality. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist farmers with program requirements, contract execution, data submission, and meeting quality standards. This remote position involves direct farmer support via phone, text, and email, requiring efficiency and attention to detail. The ideal candidate has experience with row crop agronomics, enjoys engaging with farmers, and can communicate professionally with technical service providers and grain merchants. Interest in ecosystem service markets and expanding regenerative practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide a great customer experience to farmers enrolled in a sustainability program.
Conduct farmer outreach via email, phone, and in-person meetings.
Work with farmers to gather required farm information.
Help farmers understand the impact of sustainable agriculture.
Collaborate with Gradable partners (commercial grain buyers) to manage farmers in a region and ensure program success.
Assist farmers in learning about Gradable and how the platform can support their farm.
Work with Gradable's product and data science team to guide the development of new tools that make sustainable agriculture more accessible to farmers.
