Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sustainability or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and report on sustainability metrics.
  • Proficiency in energy monitoring systems software and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CO2 emission tracking and reporting.
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and cost-saving measures.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive the implementation of sustainability initiatives to achieve cost savings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement sustainability projects.
  • Foster a proactive facility management culture through effective use of monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain an updated initiatives tracker, including savings type, estimates, and status.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sustainability metrics.
  • Promote continuous improvement in sustainability practices across the organization.
  • Support buildings and systems management operations in the most energy efficient way.
  • Complete and update Energy Management Checklist and periodic reports.
  • Train all employees on Corporate Environmental Sustainability goals.
  • Drive sustainability mindset in day-to-day work.
  • Manage site environmental data collection process for corporate ESG Reporting.
  • Provide data feed required for external reporting.
  • Report on sustainability program strategy, management, and performance to site, sponsors, and corporate CoEs.
  • Proper escalation of gaps identified, corporate team support needed, and other changes such as scope & resources.
  • Provide quarterly reports on trends, technology, & regulations.
  • Pursue local / national certifications or awards for program recognition.
  • Develop employee education materials & conduct onsite employee engagement events.
  • Manage sustainability communications.
  • Manage the Energy Program.
  • Support US DoE 50001 Readiness.
  • Establish Energy Performance Indicators (EnPI) around significant energy users.
  • Complete/update Low Carbon Transition Playbook.
  • Conduct technical site energy assessments (e.g., Energy Kaizen, Energy Audit, Gemba Walks).
  • Ideate projects and manage pipeline, coordinating project entry into corporate platform with site stakeholders.
  • Optimize rebate processes.
  • Perform sustainability analysis/alternatives for project delivery and sustainability design.
  • Ensure compliance with Requirements / Green Building Design Standard (STD-D123)/ PA111 / Rebates.
  • Execute measurement and verification of savings.
  • Optimize rebates.
  • Manage sustainability reporting requirements.
  • Ideate and execute Energy Projects (Env. Sust. Driven) for mitigation/efficiency.
  • Coordinate project entry with site stakeholders (i.e., GENIUS Lead).
  • Perform measurement and verification of savings.
  • Optimize rebates.
  • Manage sustainability reporting requirements.
  • Collect and optimize bills/data (Electricity, natural gas, water, etc.) for all sites.
  • Facilitate relevant data entry.
  • Perform analytics on bills/data.
  • Manage Energy Procurement, including budgeting and forecasting volume.
  • Identify Scope 3 reduction projects to achieve 30% reduction by 2030 (Provider's scope 1,2,3).
  • Execute measurement and verification of reduction/savings.
  • Manage sustainability reporting requirements.
  • Report CO2 emissions generated by services provided in the system as directed by corporate.
