Requirements

Currently pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, or other related degree.
Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.).

Nice To Haves

Previous related internship experience.
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate junior.
Basic understanding of construction and generally accepted business practices.
Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate initiative and leadership.
Positive and professional attitude and solid customer service skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to effectively handle multiple competing priorities.

Responsibilities

Implement Mortenson’s Build for the Greater Good program.
Support the sustainability team at our Denver, CO office.
Conduct in-depth research addressing all facets of sustainable building practices.
Assist in unorthodox data collection, such as calling local agencies or deep online searches.
Explore and discover new publicly available informational sources and unidentified analytics-focused tools/capabilities that contribute to sustainable building initiatives.
Collect, update, and fact-check existing structures and project profiles.
