Sullivan County Natural Resources (SCNR) is looking for a motivated and creative Sustainability Educator. The successful candidate will be a confident coordinator and presenter familiar with regenerative food practices, renewable energy and place-based ecology education. Working closely with the SCNR Director, the Sustainability Educator will promote education on regenerative agriculture, energy and ecological systems in Sullivan County by assisting and partnering with schools, teachers, and School Administrative Unit (SAU) staff to connect K-12 students and teachers with their food, soil and communities; maintaining an Eco-Ag Center and education hub on Sullivan County lands, and; working collaboratively with network partners to develop network structure and increase capacity. The incumbent will represent Sullivan County as a member of the Upper Valley Teaching Place Collaborative to build connections to regional environmental resources, partnerships and opportunities for collective work. The role also involves overseeing SCNR outreach and administering programs and activities, including workshops; educational forums and events; plant sales; grant-writing and administration; conservation projects; County lands management, and Conservation District Board meetings. The incumbent will spend half of their time in this role.
