Sustainability Associate
About The Position
At PwC, our people in sustainability focus on integrating environmental, social, economic, and governance considerations into business strategies and operations. They provide guidance and support to organisations by managing sustainability risks, identifying opportunities, and driving positive social and environmental impact. As a sustainability generalist at PwC, you will utilise your skills and experience across environmental, social, governance (ESG) topics and sustainability more broadly. You will analyse client needs and provide consulting services across different areas in the sustainability lifecycle, including strategy, transformation, and reporting.
Requirements
- Professional experience in any relevant sector including consulting, business, energy, government, non-profit, utilities or mining
- Foundational knowledge in sustainability and application of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), SASB, TCFD, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 26000
- Foundational knowledge of GHG quantification and/or familiarity with the GHG Protocol
- Excellent critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and problem solving capabilities
- Strong research, analytical and report writing skills
- Commitment to providing excellent client service, by building and maintaining productive relationships with both internal and external clients
- Strong personal initiative, agility and resourcefulness
- Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to or familiarity with carbon and environmental credit markets would be considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Apply analytical skills and specialist knowledge to support our diverse, world-class client base with matters related to sustainability and ESG
- Contribute effectively to complex, multi-disciplinary projects – often supporting several projects at a time
- Helping our clients improve the way they operate, reduce costs, and manage risks and opportunities related to sustainability
- Supporting client deliverables in a timely manner
