Since January 2020, Watsco’s sales of high efficiency equipment has reduced future CO2e emissions by over 19.2 M MT. Watsco is looking for a data-driven Green House Gas (GHG) Emissions Analyst who combines passion for sustainability with analytics expertise. In this role you will lead Watsco's greenhouse gas emissions management and reporting, working closely with business units and internal and external stakeholders to reduce our footprint across all emission scopes. Beyond tracking and compliance, you will use AI-assisted tools to surface hidden decarbonization opportunities, model reduction pathways, and translate complex emissions data into clear business decisions.

Requirements

• A passion for sustainability
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Data Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis, emissions calculation, or environmental reporting.
• Prefer proficiency in data analytics tools (Python, R, SQL, or similar) and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to explain complex analytical and sustainability concepts to diverse audiences.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with carbon accounting platforms (e.g., Salesforce Net Zero Cloud, Persefoni, Watershed, or similar).
• Knowledge of GHG Protocol, and other climate disclosure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Aggregate energy usage, fuel consumption, refrigerant data, and supply-chain metrics from diverse sources across Watsco's business units.
• Leverage AI-assisted data pipelines and anomaly-detection models to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of emissions records.
• Manage and continuously improve Watsco's carbon accounting platform, integrating new data streams and automating manual workflows.
• Apply statistical modeling to identify emissions trends, seasonal patterns, and operational drivers across Scope 1, 2, and 3.
• Build dashboards and data visualizations that make emissions performance intuitive for both technical teams and senior leadership.
• Use predictive analytics to forecast future emissions trajectories under different business scenarios and decarbonization strategies.
• Mine large, heterogeneous datasets to uncover non-obvious reduction opportunities — from fleet optimization to supplier emissions hotspots.
• Translate analytical insights into prioritized decarbonization roadmaps with clear ROI and emissions-reduction impact.
• Collaborate with sustainability teams across Watsco's subsidiaries to co-develop and implement data-backed emissions reduction initiatives.
• Provide scenario modeling to evaluate the emissions and financial impact of proposed initiatives before implementation.
• Identify and track emerging decarbonization technologies and market trends to inform long-term strategy.
• Prepare detailed GHG emissions reports for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies, aligned with climate disclosure frameworks.
• Ensure reporting processes comply with local, national, and international standards, with audit-ready documentation.
• Stay ahead of evolving regulations and proactively update internal processes to maintain full compliance.
• Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations clearly to senior management, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
• Serve as a thought partner to business units, helping them understand their emissions profile and act on reduction opportunities.
• Continuously evaluate and improve data collection, processing, and analysis pipelines for accuracy and efficiency.
• Explore and pilot emerging AI and analytics tools for emissions management, staying current with industry best practices.
