About The Position

The Sustainability Analyst will support the Client Sustainability team’s greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, emissions analytics, sustainability reporting and compliance programs, and related data management. The role involves mostly independent, hands-on analysis of activity data using spreadsheets and, where applicable, SQL/Python and Net Zero Cloud. The analyst will clean and quality-check data, calculate Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and document and refine methodologies and processes. The role includes researching sustainability standards and emissions methodologies, providing data and insights to business partners, and performing ad hoc sustainability analysis and reporting. The position is based with a small accounting team in San Francisco, with approximately three to four people.
