Product Development Engineer
About The Position
Ford is seeking a Suspension Design and Release Engineer to join a dynamic and vibrant team with a passion for delivering excellence. This role is part of the Product Development organization, which uses design thinking and user experience methods to deliver breakthrough products and services. Design and release engineers play a major role in developing systems and components for multiple programs, ensuring quality, and meeting customer expectations regarding fit, function, and finance. The position offers opportunities to contribute to advancements in autonomy, electrification, smart mobility technologies, and more, specifically focusing on the next generation of Ford Vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Developing systems and components for multiple programs and delivering them with quality
- Meeting and exceeding both internal and external customer expectations with regard to fit, function, and finance
- Have a direct impact on vehicle attributes (ride, handling, and NVH)
- Engage with multiple cross functional teams (Body, CSE, Veh Eng, VO, Foundation)
- Perform management reviews both at the functional and program levels
