About The Position

As a Sushi Cook at Tekka Bar, you will be responsible preparing sushi and other Japanese dishes. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service as they experience your culinary expertise firsthand from the Tekka Bar located in Block 16 at the Cosmopolitan.

Requirements

1+ year sushi making experience
Strong knife skills, with emphasis on fish butchery
Experience with various seafood
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

Apply advance knife skills required for making sushi and other Japanese dishes
Maintain menu knowledge and attention to detail of plate presentation
Ensure food quality is superior and correct any irregularities
Conduct inventory on a regular basis of specified food items and proper par levels
Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning as well as cleanliness and sanitation of assigned work areas
Follow recipes according to Chef specifications
Notify Room Chef or Sous Chef of challenges that arise and how they have been corrected
Assist with pantry and preparation areas
