This role involves preparing food, setting up stations efficiently, and adhering to TAO Standards for recipes, portion sizes, taste, and plating. Sushi cooks must follow strict guidelines for sanitation, food handling, and hygiene. Key responsibilities include anticipating guest needs, handling dietary restrictions, preparing hot and cold dishes, accurately following orders, maintaining station cleanliness, communicating with team members, and understanding recipes and venue knowledge. The role also requires compliance with Department of Health standards, managing inventory needs, setting up stations, performing opening and closing procedures, reporting equipment issues, attending meetings, and demonstrating a positive attitude and teamwork. Training is provided through Tao Group Hospitality's in-venue line cook training program.
