About The Position

The Sushi Clerk is responsible for providing service that exceeds the expectations of customers. This role involves preparing sushi according to company recipes and serving customers with a smile and a willing attitude to ensure repeat business. The clerk must meet and exceed company standards in food, service, quality, and cleanliness at all times. Requirements

• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Basic to intermediate math and computation skills are required.
• Skills to read, understand, and follow through on verbal and written instructions.
• Skills to exercise good judgment at all times.
• Skills to resolve conflicts and analyze a variety of situations to find a solution.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares sushi in quantities according to the menu and number of people served.
• Prepares all sushi items according to company recipes.
• Prepares all sushi items using proper kitchen equipment.
• Serves customers with a smile and a willing attitude.
• Assures high sales through establishing relationships with customers to ensure repeat business.
• Follows the employee handbook at all times, especially on service standards and appearance.
• Meets and exceeds company standards in food, service, quality, and cleanliness.
• Engages the customer in a friendly manner, shares product information, and assists in locating products throughout the store.
• Seeks opportunities to exceed customer expectations and enhance the customer experience.
