About The Position

Bamboo Sushi is a restaurant of purpose, aiming to inspire through its food, service, and spirit. This role involves collaborating with kitchen and front-of-house teams to create fresh, beautiful sushi that keeps guests returning. The position offers opportunities to develop skills and advance through three unique stations: Roll Station (veggie prep, rice, rolling), Front Station (fish breakdown, nigiri, omakase, guest interaction), and Wheel Station (order coordination, sushi, nigiri, sashimi crafting).

Requirements

• Passion for Japanese cuisine and a love of learning.
• A commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and organized food handling.
• A knack for teamwork, keeping your space neat, and staying engaged.
• 1-2 years of culinary experience or formal training preferred for Sushi Chefs.
• Ability to move around the kitchen, use tools, and savor flavors to ensure top quality.

• A year or more in high-volume or guest-facing kitchens.

Responsibilities

• Create fresh, beautiful sushi that keeps guests returning.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Develop skills and advance through three unique stations: Roll Station, Front Station, and Wheel Station.
• Focus on fresh veggie prep, rice perfection, and rolling sushi at the Roll Station.
• Perform fish breakdown, nigiri mastery, and omakase creations at the Front Station.
• Interact with guests at the sushi bar at the Front Station.
• Coordinate orders and craft sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi to perfection at the Wheel Station.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and organized food handling.
• Keep your space neat and stay engaged.
