About The Position

We are hiring immediately for full time SUSHI CHEF position. The Sushi Chef prepares and presents sushi and related food products to customers. This role offers a unique combination of restaurant, catering and special event experience to customers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high-level knife skills and special skills associated with sushi prep, production and presentation. They will store foods in designated areas following corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures, and ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures. The Sushi Chef will maintain sanitation of all equipment, supplies and utensils within their work area, clean their workstation thoroughly before leaving the area, and keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service to assure compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe, safety, OSHA, production and merchandising requirements. Additionally, they will interact with customers to enhance the dining experience, demonstrating a complete understanding of daily menu items and the ability to accurately explain them to customers and associates, while keeping up with peak production and service hours. This position is full-time.

Requirements

  • Three years of previous experience in a sushi kitchen is required.
