About The Position
AtkinsRéalis is seeking to hire a Surveyor for Rail & System construction project. Surveyors make precise measurements to provide data relevant to the shape, contour, gravitation, location, elevation, or dimension of structures and rails for construction and other purposes. Location: This position will be based full time onsite at the project site at 19700 Landmark Way, Langley, BC, V3A 7Z5
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Surveying or Geomatics
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction surveying industry
- Strong computer skills and proficient in the use of office, data, surveying and engineering based software
- GPS and Total station experience required
- Driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Maintain and verify provided control network.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated.
- Read and interpret construction drawings.
- Lay-out critical track alignment & structures and as-built track with Trolley system & Total station (Leica) and verify the accuracy of the data.
- Calculate heights, depths, relative positions and other characteristics of structures and rails.
- Interact with project Engineers and project coordinators and survey team to provide on-time information, and solve problems to site-related issues.
- Maintain accurate Survey records, documentation.
